People Come Into Your Life For a Reason, A Season Or A Lifetime:

Today on Facebook I made a post stating that "Everyone who enters your life comes to you at precisely the time that you most need to learn the lesson they've come to teach."  I received some "great" feedback this morning from my Facebook friends which inspired me to include this passage today in my blog. I don't know who the author of this passage is but the message speaks the Truth.

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When  you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you  physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be.  Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.  Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent  up has been answered  and now it is time to move on. Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They  usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.  Believe it, it is real.  But only for a season. LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.  Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.  It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

  1. Thank you for your inspirational quotes, talks and information. I was sort of wondering when do you know when someone is there for a reason, season or lifetime? I only ask b/c I've been contemplating a HUGE move b/c of someone's actions, but know how much I care for him and find it VERY hard to leave, thinking I might be making a mistake.? I moved across the world for him and 2.5 yrs later all I feel is dissapointed in his true being, yet still loving his kind, gentle side. Sorry to be longwinded, I am just stuck?

  2. Dear Anonymous -

If his True Being is not in alignment with your core values and/or belief system then I would definitely listen to that strong prompting from your inner voice – your inner knowing. You can still appreciate all of his loving, kind and gentle qualities as part of his nature while at the same time honoring and paying close attention to your gut feelings and intuition. With this understanding, you will be in a better place to ask yourself if you are in this person’s life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.

    Thank you for your question,

    Sending you love and prayers,

  3. I've come across this wonderful quote several times in my life. It seems that whenever I do and I take a moment to look around I see the messages I'm supposed to see. I understand better why certain people are in my life.

I can relate to the "Reason" example very well. My wife was working with someone. They were providing her with some "different perspectives" on things in life. This resulted in change for the better. And then, out of nowhere, the relationship ended. The work ended, however, the lesson was learned.

    Thanks for this beautiful reminder.

  4. Thank you for your comment Don.

I can relate to your wife's experience as I've had a very similar thing happen to me. When I look back on it, I can see what an overall impact this person had on my life, in such a healing and amazing way.

I truly believe that we are all angels dressed up in human clothes. ; )

Take good care and thanks again,
    Gena :)
