Stress

Stress is a major cause of not allowing yourself to FEEL your emotions and has become the most potent poison in the world. we are constantly occupied with worrying about the future or regretting the past. Stress takes up so much of our attention that we are losing all self-awareness and therefore the ability to heal ourselves.

When we take steps to eradicate stress and establish balance in our bodies we create natural beauty, health and radiance inside and out. When we removeToxins and stress from our lives, we free our energy to rid us of anything that does not serve us. We also create an internal awareness to stop, look, listen,
and feel.  In this process, we find that sacred place inside us where everything is still, questions are asked and answers are found – the place of self love.

Don’t Conform To The Rigid Beauty Ideals – Be You!

Instead of trying to conform to the rigid beauty ideal promoted in the media, EXPERIMENT with finding a STYLE or look that EXPRESSES something UNIQUE about yourself and feels good to YOU. When you exercise, PAY ATTENTION to the RHYTHMS and SENSATIONS you experience in your body as you MOVE. While exercise is often promoted as a way to lose weight and achieve an idealized body shape, it also often helps us FEEL GOOD in our BODIES, which in turn can help us ACCEPT and even CELEBRATE how we LOOK.

Self Talk

Thoughts play a critical role in determining your emotional responses to events. Your thoughts about yourself have a direct impact on your feelings and behavior. Increasing the amount of positive self-talk can improve your exercise program-and your life in general. Whenever you think about something, you are, in essence, talking to yourself. Self-talk serves as the vehicle for making perceptions and beliefs conscious.

Negative self-talk increases stress. Positive self-talk helps you calm down and control stress: For example:

         Negative                                 Positive
"I can't do this."                     "I'll do the best I can."
"I hate it when this happens."   "I know how to deal with this; I've done it before."
"Everything is going wrong."     "I can handle things if I take one step at time."

To help you feel better, practice positive self-talk EVERY DAY - in the car, at your desk, before you go to bed or whenever you notice negative thoughts.  Remember: Positive self-talk helps you relieve stress and deal with the situations that cause you stress.

Have A Seat Upon My Cloud

Have a seat upon my cloud and make yourself at home
You are now inside my dreams, inside my book, inside my poem.

Where anything can happen if you only make it real
Plunge into my waters if you're not afraid to FEEL.

Take off your shoes and close your eyes, relax upon my sand
Join me in my land of dreams, reach out and take my hand.

Let me share my dreams with you, as you find your own
I'll take you there if you BELIEVE, take mine out on loan.

Where birds are words that gracefully glide across the sky
Leave behind your worries, here the rules do not apply.

Pick from my flowers if you like and plant a seed or two
Paint the sky in hot pink if you do not like blue.

Climb my trees, face your fears; erase them one by one
See the world from up above and don't stop at the sun.

When the world starts raining down and the sun is out of sight
Let your dreams guide you through the night.

There's a place inside my dreams for all that care to roam
So have a seat upon my cloud and make yourself at home.
